Jan’25 Sunday Funday Book Club Follow Up

We chatted and sipped before the snow set in, and it was a good time. Thanks to Nikki and Mary and Lithology for hosting us! Beer selection: Outwash Beach. N/A: Ginger honey mocktail, which was divine.

Our next Sunday Funday Book Club meetup is February 16 from 10-noon at Ghost Brewing (Bay Shore). We are reading The House of Hidden Meanings by RuPaul.

Your side hustle read: RuPaul’s Guru

Your side hustle watch: Cleopatra Jones

Your side hustle listen: RuPaul, of course

Wrap-up of our discussion of Circe by Madeline Miller:
Gods are terrible. Circe is also kinda not great but is better and more redeeming. The book could have ended sooner, like before she takes off with her son’s half-brother, but overall folks enjoyed it.

Game of the Month: Myth, Muscle, or Monster Truck
Try it out: Nessus? Gracilis? Max-D? It’s not as easy at it seems!
Congrats to everyone since mostly everyone was tied, which means everyone took home something from my Grab Bag of Questionable Prizes.

Quote of the Discussion: "Was it a sexy cow?”
